    Default So I was practicing......

So I was practicing today, normally I practice in my room but today I decided to practice in the living room because my hubby wasn't home. My daughter was listening and watching me pracitice and she said, "hey, you're getting pretty good at that (with a big smile on her face)......" That made me feel good........

It's things like that that make me want to keep going.........

Whenever the guys on drumchat gave me props for our video, they always made me feel great!!

When my step-dad (who is my teacher and has been playing drums for over 35 years) said that I was improving, that made me feel good.
I don't have a daughter, but I figure that made you feel even better than I did.

I was walking around in town yesterday with my mate Sean (who also plays bass in my band). And this girl walked up to us and asked "Hey, are you guys from Lead Redemption?" (my band).

It's always nice to be recognised. We had a chat to her for a little while, turns out I know her older sister.

But yeah, it's always nice to hear good feedback about your shows and about your skill. Everyone likes to be noticed and/or appreciated, but unfortunately not many people say anything.

You just wait. When your band hits the big time and your faces are plastered all over MTV and your touring the world, you'll wish you had just 5 minutes where people would leave you alone and stop talking to you.

Haha... One of the greatest double edged swords of being a drummer is that no-one really knows who you are, unless they're also a drummer. The guitarists and singers get hounded, but the bassists and drummers don't.

I hope that someday I could be a professional soloist and not worry about all the glory hogs in a band
