Default Books for jazz and/or latin drumming?

I have 1001 Drum Grooves, and have played through the jazz section. I'm interested in jazz and latin drumming because they seem to be the most interesting and require a lot of independence. Are there any books like 1001 Drum Grooves that you would recommend I get to look into these styles?

I highly reccomend "The Essence of Afro-Cuban Percussion and Drum Set". Covers drum set as well as congas, bongos, timbales, guiro, etc and how all the parts fit together. Lots of awesome cowbell pattern variations and traditional rhythms, stuff like Samba, Bolero, Guagaunco, Cha Cha, Mambo, etc. It also has full charts for bass, guitar, piano, and horns as well, so if you want to try them out with your band. Its a really great book with tons of information, I think its over 300 pages.

Hey, I was also wondering about a good book for the bongos. I just recently picked up a small pair of them and would like to develop my skills on them. I have been playing the set for about 6 years, and have a little jazz under my belt, and also I have been in Drumline. So i know how to read music and get a feel of how its supposed to sound. I was wondering what would be a good book for myself. Basically, I would not need a beginner book, but I was wondering how advanced I should get into, because I really don't know that much about the different hand jestures.

Any input would be great, thank you!
