The Country Wranglers Dance Band
Ive worked in this band for going on 9 years and the band has been an active band for 25 years.
The band has gained and lost many members but at present time there are 5 of us: Lead Guitar/Trumpet/Valve Trombone/Lead and Harmony vocals, Steel Guitar/Lead and Harmony Vocals, Fiddle/Lead vocals, Bass Guitar/Lead and Harmony Vocals and then there's me...Drums/Lead and Harmony Vocals.
We play a good mix of Traditional country, Big Band Swing, Western Swing, Cajun Zydeco, Blues and 50s and early 60s rock and some top 40 Country.
We work 2 nights a week at a Ballroom with No Smoking and No Alcohol in the building from 7 pm till 10 pm and then every other friday we work out of town at similar situations. The pay is excellent and the longevity is also excellent.
Yamaha Oak Custom 22x17 with Brass Kick Port, Brass Hoop Claws,10-12-14 racks, 16 Floor and all toms have Brass Hoops and a Tama Starclassic Bubinga Elite 14x6.5 snare in Quilted Mocha Burst and Black Nickel hardware. All hi-end Zildjian Cymbals - K Dark Thin crashes & splashes, a Zildjian A crash & a Meinl 16" crash, Avedis Zildjian 1964 ride, K Custom hats plus New Beat hats on Closed X-Hat.
