    Default anyone heard of this hi-hat

    Hi All,

    I was given a 14 inch zildjian "scimitar" hi-hat. i havent put it on to try out yet but i tried searching for information on it and couldnt find anything!

    im hoping ive stumbled accross a jem LOL!

    anyone? thanks

    Not to rain on your parade or anything, but those cymbals are so old that Zildjian doesn't even make them anymore. That and they sound about as musical as a bin lid.

    The Scimitar Series was one of the entry level cymbals by Zildjian before they were replaced with the Planet Z/ZBT etc. range.

    not a gem. they were bottom line in the 80s. the worst i ever owned. free is a good price tho.

    What a way to ruin such a beautiful set lol. I've only seen one of those before, on the floor in Guitar Center. I picked em up and asked the guy how they sound and he just shook his head lol.

    Yeah, don't bother.

    Drill some rivets into them and turn them into probably even more horribly sounding sizzle cymbals!
