Nice job, timm! Consider yourself officially initiated! Now that you have passed the test, you get your new and improved DC secret decoder ring, the ones that have a built in whistle. Just head on down the hall, past the members only lounge and stop at the window marked, "receive your secret DC decoder ring here". Tell pastor bob I sent ya. Once you receive it, you'll be able to decode the text below:

Don't forget to have a great time and welcome again to DC!

Well done rudd_timm, and welcome to Drum Chat. The storage room where we keep our supply of decoder rings is currently undergoing a complete inventory, so I left a decoder ring for you in the membership lounge. It's on the table right next to the book on the history of Gretsch drums.

    Better late than never...

    An Ode to Markadiddle

The once was a musician on DrumChat,
who in his lingerie thought he looked phat.
With his sensual knowledge and his drum desire,
he gave us humorous posts to which all would aspire,
And ask "Could oatmeal work - for the pastor's cat?"

It was hard to just choose one of you to highlight in my post, but since Mark has been my one of my pastor's cat buddies I had to go with him.

    Hi Tom!
I'm a newbie. I'll give it my best shot:

Being a little short of legal tender, it's a toss up. Do I purchase lingerie for my sensual wife, or do I purchase new heads for my kit, which are as pitted as cottage cheese or oatmeal.

I'm impressed! Clever, and quick. I don't think there has ever been a newbie that used initiation as his first post! (...especially since we have had so many newbies NOT going through initiation....)

As I sat watching TV with bluesky we decided we should order a pizza. Reaching into our pockets we found only oatmeal. Never fear said bluesky my friend works at kfc he'll hook us up.
There was a man at the counter dressed in lingerie the name tag said markadiddle. He personally assured the chicken was fresh and tender as he had given it a sensual massage before cooking. Somehow I lost my desire to eat.

You owe me a new keyboard. I just spit out my drink when I read that.

That is, without a doubt, one of the funniest initiation posts I have read to date. Awesome PM!!

It's great to start the day with such a laugh. I'm glad I was not enjoying my morning Mountain Dew, or you would certainly owe me a keyboard, too!

Now you can get your secret decoder ring. Just take a right at Pastor Bob's office, all the way to the end of the hall.

After being sent here by the mighty markadiddl trough a message he typed by tenderly tapping the keys on his keyboard, I looked in my closet to find inspiration, but I only found some lingerie lying around and got the desire to throw it all away and play drums, because I love playing drums. Playing drums is like my life. Without drums I'd be lost. I know, sometimes I get a little too sensual. Oatmeal.

Okay BlueSky since you were the first to respond to my Intro post:

I long to hear the tender sound of your brushes on the stubbly coating of your snare head while I lounge in leather lingerie filled with desire for the sound of a sensual rim-shot as I play in a single headed bass drum bath of oatmeal.

OK now I must apologize for this post but someone did ask this of newbies after all!
