I really hate cuccumbers, but I never use that as a put down of the millions that do.

I dislike almost all modern rock/pop save for a few select bands, I don't like too hard rock or metal, and I don't like country or really early blues or folk rock because that's what my brother listens too all the time and I've become sick of it

but i love all kinds of other music!

yeah i suppose but its got a bit too radio friendly now IMHO good on them for being able to do i just don't think its as good as the older albums.

Creedance Clearwater Revival. Can't stand them...makes my skin crawl.

Even though for the most part.....I don't mind playing their material live.

I can't stand Nickelback. It's like eating too much of something and never wanting to taste it again. The radio, IMO, destroyed that band.

Not to mention, hating on Linkin Park and Nickelback is just so insanely cliche at this point. I don't like either band, but it's not like either of them do anything to really warrant such venom. They just do what they do and lots of people like it. It's not like they're blatantly selling out (Chimaira) or have jerkoff members (Rose Funeral).

Agreed. If someone says that they dislike Nickelback, I can listen to what they say then as to why they dislike them.

But if somebody just says "blah blah Nickelback sucks blah blah.." I really do not have any respect for that person. They have sold over 30 million records worldwide, including over 21 million in the states. They must be doing something right.

Dude, I approached this thread very tongue and cheek. It's all about opinions and taste and that can vary in many ways like grains of sand on a beach. Using the word ignorance to describe opinions that don't agree with yours is contradicting exactly what you're objecting to and I find that very cliche. Lighten up a bit.
