I tried the Pantera thing a few years back on an ole Solar Ride. ya know the video where he has lighter fluid on his ride and on the tips of his drumsticks and he lights the drumsticks so when ever he hits the ride it flames up!
try it outside though or you could risk burning your house down.

Another thing we try and do if the venue permits is (if you have really shiny cymbals) point lasers at them. so if ya have a small smoke machine you get moving lasers as opposed to stationary ones.

No idea, but looking around at things yesterday and they seem to be more common than i thought (the brand, not that particular series). The "painting" on them is done when they are made by a specialist, so I suppose it's done in a way not to effect the sound.

I wounder if theres an invisible liquid you can put on a cymbal that would glow under a black light sorta like I see on CSI. A liquid that would not hinder the cymbal sound at all? just a thought.

You could always kill someone with your cymbals, wash away the blood and then borrow some of that invisible liquid stuff from the police? Just a thought.

One I didn't know was anti-freeze it says they put additives in it so the police can find it in accident investigations.

if u watch the ufip how they make cymbols video on youtube it shows them just rubbing paint over their stencil that has the brand on it. i mean im sure its safe if you want to just get your name or bands name on it but if u want to make them like completely blue, your bound to mess something up
