Do ya think its possible, with drums in the basement, and some form of soundproofing? Anyone have any experience with Quietrock? Green Glue? I'm moving, and 1 of my prerequisites is that i have a place to wail away on my drums, without drummutes etc...and angry neighbors

Im right there with ya, I was looking into it and someone suggested Homosote as an inexpensive form of soundproofing. I dont know how good this will do me, and I think in the long run Ill do insulation, then Homosote, then Quiet-rock. We need to make a sticky or something for soundproofing tips and videos.

Just watch the new neighbor, learn their patterns and play when they are not at home. Save the work and the $$

    all the best...

Here's the real way to do it, if you can afford the expense (non-commercial links...)...

    Assembling a drum booth...

    Here's the DIY version...

    DIY drum booth

    Hope this helps.
(Maybe, just maybe, the neighbour is a bass player..? :-))
