I heard a song today from a friend after telling him i was playing drums now. Anyway the story goes likethis

me: hi mate how you doing

him: yeh im great, i heard your drumming now

me: yeh and it aint easy, trying to do rolls and practise my rudiments as much as i can

him: whats that

me: its kinda like the stuff you hear military play

him: oh yeh, i have a song like that on my ipod, its EXCELENT, hear listin to this and be prepared to be blown away

( at this point i don the headphones expecting some absolutely fantastic track that will blow my mind and make me search for the kleenex )

That was awesome, but a bit hard to dance to. The use of effects was refreshing, it's truly an original piece. It's still very strange however, and I can see how it won't attract a lot of audiences.

The album cover is probably the most beautifully awesome thing I've seen all day. It's like it was drawn by a materialistic five year old that had drank ten cans of Relentless and broken into the arts and crafts box, drastically throwing caution, aesthetics and artistic sensibilities to the wind in order to just paint everything in his life that is AWESOME.

as for the song, I'm listening to Pearl Jam at the minute so I can't comment on it.
