Diddly squat. Several members of the family are home, sick. So no drumming today.

A friend bought an Argent 5 pc. I went over tuned, configured and played so his neighbors could hear it.
I had band practice which turned into more of a jam session. That's just the way it is sometimes.
Haven't played in a few days. Not feeling well, then busy with life.
Last week one day it was rudiments til my arms fell off then the next day I was playing and couldn't believe how much the rudiments helped me, I was so excited until I was told I was playing too loud! (which was a first for me...thanks to my new Vic Firth headphones)
Today I played around in the Paiste sound room a little, or maybe a lot, looking to add an 18" crash.

Today:
Browsed MusiciansFriend for a 19" crash, 18" China, and a snare stand.
Decided on a PST5 19" Rock Crash, Paiste Alpha Rock China, and a Sound Percussion snare stand.
Went on Paiste's site and checked out the samples for the PST5 and compared it to the 19" Alpha Metal crash. Liked the PST5 better for some reason.
Practiced my doubles, double/triple paradiddles, and 7 stroke rolls... Nothing special but i had to do something.
A few long hours later i played drums for two hours, missed dinner.
Went on drumchat. Computer shut down. Blew a fuse. Started up computer again, synced ipod and played a couple songs, remembered i was on DC.
Decided it was time for bed.
DC on iTouch.
Basically my daily routine
So itchie, how did the kick sound?

Today, I went to a local music store looking for a new ride cymbal. I ended up finding a crash cymbal I'd been hoping to find (joy!), so I went ahead and put it on layaway along with a stand. In case you're wondering, the cymbal in question is an 18" Zildjian medium Dark Crash.
I took the day off, but practiced juggling drumsticks.
Pearl VMX drums, Yamaha Custom Oak 14x7 Snare, Sabian cymbals, Pearl DemonDrive Pedals, Gibralter rack.
I was coming home from work and saw this great looking drum set in this guys picture window,so today I went to see him.We hit it off right away and one of the first things he said was,"you wanna try em out?" I was all teeth! He has a beautiful 6 piece Yamaha set with a rack and about 8 Zildjian and Sabian cymbals. He has a DW double pedal with the plastic beaters.I never played with plastic beaters and man they are loud!Looks like Ive found a new jammin buddy and we are going to put together something this summer, probably outdoors. We are about the same age with about the same interests in music so we talked shop for well over an hour.I have some friends who have been talking about jamming and Im gonna round em up and throw something together.Maybe I can even get my band to show up and like he said, the more the merrier.I met his wife later and she plays guitar. They seem like a real nice couple.Im pretty psyched and cant wait for the snow to go.His place is real small and we will have to jam in the back yard or maybe I can get the hall in town because I dont have enough room either.Maybe we will do it at my back yard and I can pay my next door neighbor back for listening to his kennel of barking dogs.
