I only sat down for a few minutes, but I killed it today. I have been really focusing on doubles between my hands and right foot. And i actually pulled off a few fills in time.

Played an outside gig at a car show and festival. Luckily the rain held out and we were able to play for a great crowd. Looking forward to headlining on the main stage tomorrow night to close the festivities.

Been uploading my new kit pics in between lessons. Off in a moment to see my mate's new kid (his wife gave birth to a healthy new baby girl last Sunday), then after that heading straight to a hand drumming jam with mates of mine. Hopefully won't be too late, it's another full day tomorrow!

Nothing today...but I did get to jam for a few minutes yesterday before my wife got home!
I'm on my way to my friend's drum school to pack and load my Gretsch kit that Hannah Ford used on Saturday.
I have to tote it back up to my third floor which is never fun.

I looked at my throne and checked to make sure there wasn't any rust. No rust, looks good. Thinking of lubricating the screw. Is this a good idea?
Been on and off practicing the 7 stroke roll all day. And I will continue until I go to bed. Then tomorrow I move onto the next rudiment. What I do is each day I pick one rudiment, and first do it with my hands, break, then do it with my feet. I've found during commercial breaks is the best time to do so, so each commercial I alternate between which limbs i'm working on.

The Rudiments
I dismantled and cleaned my Pearl Powershifter Eliminator pedals.....My two year old daughter 'helped'.
Did a little bit of snare drumming, then I worked out of "Syncopation" for a little while. I'm doing the accented 8th note triplets section right now, working the accents around the kit; right hand accent on the floor tom and left hand on the tom-tom, all other notes on snare.
Worked on 20 of the rudiments + a few other exercises. About 1 1/2 hours total.

Got my new bass drum heads, fitted them and had a quick jam before my wife shouted at me because it's the kids bedtime

they don't alter their views to fit the facts, they alter the facts to fit their views,
which can be uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering.
Set up my Yamaha Stage Custom kit for the first time in maybe 4 years. I nearly didn't but the missus harassed me to do it. My 2 year old daughter absolutely loves the kit. She has her little toy kit set up next to mine.
I fitted my silencer pads to the kit so I can practice a bit. I found an invoice in the box from august 2008!!! They were box fresh today. Oh dear.
I have also been browsing the internets for replacement key bolts for my pearl eliminators and at some cymbals; Wuhan lion chinas and the Stagg Black Metal bell. I need more cymbals but can't justify expensive ones at the present (almost all mine are Istanbul other than Zildjian hats).
So.....progress I think. Time to get the band back together.
Putting together another dumb old drum set. Life is so difficult at times.

Played A LOT today, and did some extremely minor tuning. Messed around with my cymbal placement. I ended up adding in a stacker with a small crash. Then, played some more

My music teacher was busy all of this morning, so instead of the normal 1.5 hour class, i played drums. I have no idea what the school doing with their drums but there were random pieces EVERYWHERE... so i scratched together a 7 peice, with a double kick, ride and hats. Very very different, played some very different stuff than i normally do. Was an interesting experience, now im thinking of playing around with the setup of my kit.
