oh wow you live in toronto? same here haha, i got steve's to order my byzance ride, its amazing, the carry a lot of the byzance jazz rides. they have a decently large selection of paiste, but i never did like paiste, the european cymbal sound was never my thing, same with the sound of b8 alloy used in their professional level cymbals

TRX is a great company. I have only seen them in stores 3 times, but every time I have been quite impressed. They aren't my favorite company, but I would love an endorsement from them just to be able to play around with anything they make.

id say paiste because in addition to great sounding cymbals, they offer colored cymbals that actually sound good. while i chose them first because of their sound, the visual aspect of colored cymbals sold me on them.

Well, Butter, TRX throws endorsements like candy at a parade. We should just all get endorsed by them. Anybody with a decent amount of popularity on YouTube has had the offer.

    True, Cobus is with TRX.

I want to make covers and stuff to put on Youtube, but I guess I'm too lazy to learn any songs all the way through well enough to actually make a decent video. I'll find the time someday.

Tah821, I disagree. Which colored cymbals are you referring to? The colorsound, slipknot alphas, and the 2001s (I think that was what the white ones were called), as well as Zildjian Titaniums, Pitch blacks, and Krest brand colored cymbals all sound pretty bad. You may have a different ear than I, but I have never come across a good sounding colored cymbal. Decent ones, almost, but I'd rather use clean B8s than hand hammered and colored B20s.

Learn to love the color of bronze, it sounds better. Yes, colors make sounds...

Since I play mostly Jazz and Blues I go for the darker cymbals.

    My choices are:
    Bosphorous
    Soultone
    Zildjian (Vintage by sound)

I'd love to be endorsed by any company, cymbal or otherwise.

But if I had to choose I'd go with Zildjian as my #1 choice, although I primarily use Sabian right now.

Well when Terry Bozzio was playing Paiste Black Colorsounds, I was really tempted to add a few to the set, mostly because of the dry sounding chinas and bells....wasn't overly sold on the splash they had though. Frank Beard from ZZ Top used to have a Blue Colorsound set. But how's this? Steve Jordan had a custom pink one-off Colorsound Ride. How the hell can you play that and not laugh?

I actually has a roland endorsement, however am still to order anything other than a vocal multieffect. I was seriouslly considering the Octa-pad however its only a low level endorsement so was still alot of £££ even with the large discount.

Zildjian...no Sabian...no Meinl...no Paiste...aw screw it, just give me one of everything.

In all honesty my first choice would be Zildjian but I would endorse any company that makes a great set of cymbals and have a good work ethic....so all of the above then.

If Paiste made cymbals that weren't so brittle and break easy,I'd be using them. They have the better sound to my ear. But I am very happy with Sabian and what they have to offer and I have the cymbals I want that sound good to me.
    So Sabian it is.

Well personally i'd want to be endorsed by Zildjian as a first choice, but Saluda as a very close second. My reasoning behind that is, Saluda lets you have any cymbal sound, design, or look that you want on it. They just let you do anything, and for a really good price too! That's normally a deal only pros get after years and years with a flexible company. They treat the everyday customer like an elite pro, and that to me is greatness. To be able to make a call and say "I want a cymbal that looks like this but sounds like that" and for them to actually say yes, what more could you want? Seems to be the best deal in the cymbal business right now, and I don't see anyone topping or matching that anytime soon!

Meinl. Because to my ears Meinl is just utterly heads and tails above anything I've heard from any other company, except for their China's, they're a little underwhelming for me. But with a range like they have I can't imagine I couldn't find something I liked.

I've played Zildjians for 37 years. I love them, they sound great and they won't kill your bank account. That said if a cymbal company was going to give me free cymbals I'd go with Paiste or Meinl, both of them have some of the best sounding cymbals in the world, however I feel they are just ridiculously priced.
