    Default Playing with Brushes

Hi guys! I play with brushes a lot and have recently put coated G2s on my toms. They sound awesome, BUT the coating is cleaning off VERY quickly. I noticed tht the remo ambassadors hold up MUCH better than the G2s as far as coating. Anyone who plays brushes...do you use another kind of head?? If so, what is it?

I exclusivelly play Aquarian and their coating hold up whatever the sticks, brushes, Rute (dowel sticks) or tree logs.

FYI, Aquarian Modern Vintage does offer a great sound for brushes.

Evans J1 Etched. there is no coating to wear off. Perfect brush head, right out of the box.

i love playing brushes. Currently my heads are vintage emperor's from Remo and they aren't the best brush heads, but still sound good. I want to try out Remo skyntone on my snare for brushes
