    The process may be more mechanized in many production facilities, these were obviously hand made drums, but I believe the technique is true. Of course, most drums aren't solid shell like in the first part of the video.

    Those are awful thick shells. I would'nt trust the glued seams. I took visial tour of Pearl drums in Taiwan and I will tell you the process is completely different and not as time consuming as this manufacturer. Pearl drums are all hand made and polished I which I could bring this video here for all to watch. I would suggest you all to go to Youtube and take the Pearl Factory tour.

    According to their website, they specialize in symphonic and concert snare drums. They are located near Boston. There snare wire configurations are incredible.
