    I'm thinking of going to http://www.2112online.com/deptdrum.shtml and taking some lessons. I'd like to learn how to read music.

    XJ, good call! Reading music will help you recognize and pick up tricky passages you might not know otherwise...and that'll help you in all kinds of music gigs!
