    Default Cost friendly sound proofing

    Alright,
Hoping for some help on this topic. I always practiced with an electric kit due to living in a fairly quiet area, and had never experimented with any sort of sound proofing. I recently sold the electric kit and want to get playing the nice big and noisy Saturn as much as possible.

Has anyone found a relatively cost-friendly solution for the same issue? (would prefer to stay away from pads and mesh heads)

    Cheers

Shab..I use sound canceling headphones. I never had a chance to use these yet. I have a tough time with something crammed into my outer ear canal.

I did my room too but was not cheap, mine was several thousand $$.

Its also a descent size at 22 x 16, walls and floor are carpeting with an accoustic ceiling. It has 2 sets of recessed lights on dimmer switches and 2 separate circuits for outlets with plenty of them around to plug stuff in.

It can be done extremelly cheap like using old mmatresses and egg cartons but then again it will also look extremely cheap. It depends on what you want it to look like when youre done.

Hope this helps and welcome to the board.

Cheers.. not too worried about looks at this point, just want to get drumming! Matresses/boards ang egg boxes could work, and the floor is already carpeted, but as far as ceilings and windows go.. any suggestions? Something to reduce the noise at least.

Money, money, money... as if the drums themselves weren't expensive enough!
