MORE ON DRUMSETS AND DRUMSET COMPARISONS

I thought I would add this information that I found in a chart which shows equivalencies between Remo and Evans heads. Post in this thread if you know of any updates that need to be made to the chart either for new heads or discontinued heads.

Also if you know about Aquarian heads then lets see those equivalencies too. If we all keep a full difinitive list up to date I think it will be very helpfull for any drummers who are wondering about head selection.

    Heres the list:

Cheers guys, it was actually one I found online. I have only used Evans heads and my knowledge of them is limited but I wanted to see what differences the Remo heads have and then I came across this, I just wanted to make sure it was all up to date and correct and I really hope it will be of use to others as it is to me.

They actually have that on a nice laminated card for quick reference. I found one at my local drum shop.

I was just reading through a thread in the reviews section about Aquarian heads, I'm really intrigued to try some out but I don't know any shops local to me that sells them, however there is this wonderful invention I could use...I believe they call it...'the internet'?!?.

Thanks Kazaamski, I just did some checking too, and I think I am right in saying that the vintage A has no Evans equivalent? I will go and edit the list now. Thanks again.

To all the rest you are very welcome glad it helps.

It doesn't appear so from what I can see online - Remo state: "Emperor X is 2 'free floating' plies of 10 mil mylar film with a 5 mil reverse black dot"

There may be an Evans head that is similar in construction but I am honestly not sure, sorry.

Awesome Alex, glad it helped man, I am currently waiting for my Evans Hazy 300 reso and Evans HD batter to be delivered...should be any day now, I also bought a Puresound Blaster 20 strand snare wires so my snare should be sounding very sweet very soon.
