Ok, so it's not on Christmas Day (as everyone's been busy with families)...BUT...every year or so when I can, I usually give a nice (drum-related) gift to a student or two as a reward for their hard practice and diligence (and putting up with me, no easy task LOL). Anyway, one girl, Tamara, is probably the best student I have had for the past number of years...I kinda knew when I first started teaching her five years ago that she was just gifted (she's also now taking grades in piano too, and hopes to get into sound engineering after school). Anyway, this lil' package I'm gonna be dropping off to her today or tomorrow, time permitting:



Meinl Mb8 Efx set (18" China and 10" Splash) with mini-boom arm and clamp, Roland APC-33 clamp set (for an Octopad), aluminium doumbek, PDP stand for the Octopad and a PDP straight/boom cymbal stand.

You da man Drumbledore! What a nice way to encourage your students. I found out that my drum teacher pays for ice cream for her students that practice hard show improvements in their lessons. I lobbied for the same deal when I found out about it after talking to the grnadfather of one of her kids, but I got no joy. Maybe she's forcing me to work harder before I get that deal!
