Big Bang Distribution? I think? They are cool, but for the money. . . . .not that cool!

I understand..but as I said the old vintage WOOD dyna's are going for more than $2500...and I just saw a sale for one of the new ones for under $700. I know for most...for a snare..its still a bit much..but I sold my white set ( 4 pc ) to save for when they come out with a Champagne Sparkle one. You just cannot help loving the sound of a Dyna.

Are they coming out with additional colors?

I’m sure I’ll end up with one at some point but I’m not wild about the 3 color options they currently have though. I’d really like a natural wood or a stain.

I agree! I'm not a sparkle person and never will be!

I like sparkle kits but if I’m buying a one off snare drum I’d prefer a more neutral color so it matches any kit. A natural finish would be ideal, although I’m not sure that dyna’s ever came in natural finish to begin with. I can’t remember ever seeing a Holiday kit that was stained, I think they were all wrapped.

That’s good news. I’ll need to be patient and see what else they come out with.

Well I too am a Sparkle guy...well for two of my 3 sets now. I am waiting for a Champagne sparkle...got the dough now and am waiting patiently. If they do NOT come out with that color in a few years I too may have to see what solid color would work best.

Hello. I posted this on the maintenance board but figure I should ask some Rogers guys. I have script badge Fullertons I bought in '71, with 13 and 14" toms up and a 16" ft. Lately there's some after buzz coming from the 13". It's narrowed down to the muffler spring. I play them wide open with a little pressure on the muffler, not touching the head, so I could just remove it entirely but I'd rather leave the drum whole. Other than the buzz the whole set is just as amazing as it ever was. Any suggestions?

I had that on some old Ludwig mufflers I installed in a set of Fibes acrylics back in the 70's. I tied some string around the threaded shaft so as to hold the vibrating of the flat strapping like piece. Worked perfectly.

I'm going to revive this thread. I could never take a picture of me on stage, while playing, for obvious reasons. Found this one someone else had submitted in a post on FB. This is from about 1980. Yes I hauled all that around to every gig. I had energy and no smarts back in the day.

Wanted to share my Rogers kit in all its glory. I had Paiste 2002 Red Labels, too.

And of course the beloved Roto-toms, I still have today.

Now I'm also using Paiste Signature series cymbals. Just a coincidence at this point. I still have a set of Zildjian A's and my gigging set which is mostly Paragon stuff - hats, ride and splash and a couple Sabian crashes.

Amazing how none of us (back then) didn't care what we used to muffle the bass drum....or how bad it looked.
    I have similar pics myself.

Trends. That's my story. Looking back I don't even think I ever tuned them. Just put on the heads and tightened up and away we went. The shells did the work. Yeah, that's it, The shells.

I remember putting T-shirts on the top of my toms to muffle them, lol. I was like 13 or so.
