Ok. I don't have a good enough camera to film a set cover without distortion but I did record a conga cover of Second Dryades by Galactic. I would love to hear the constructive critism or anything really thanks guys,

I go to my local drum shop and purchase my sticks. I like to touch them before I buy them ;-)

I really enjoyed that you played the congas with the music rather than trying to shoe horn a conga pattern to the music

    Cool Re: First YouTube Vid.

From one "BB" to another, nice work on the congas! You sounded great and your beat fit right into the recording!

keep the beat goin' ... Don't keep it to yourself!

I taught myself how to play drums and congas. I started out just playing to the music and I've just stuck w/it. ha

Thumbs up Re: First YouTube Vid.

Excellent job BB!Someday I will have to buy a set of those.I love their sound!

My very first drums were a set of Bongos.I never learned how to really play them but had a blast trying.A couple of years ago my band played Long Train Running by the Doobie Brothers at a benefit dance and I used two of my Octobons for the conga sound. They are meant to be played with sticks. My hands took quite a beating from the metal rims and I had to soak them in my cooler full of ice.Keep up the good work!

thanks guys. I'm gonna try and do another conga cover. It'll probably be When Rita Leaves (Delbert McClinton).
