    Question Fat Cat Snares

Any of you guys use Fat Cat snares? I am looking to put these on a drum I made.
    Opinions? Ideas?

No but they do sound interesting enough for me. Let us know how it works out and some pics would be nice too.

if puresound made a set of double-adjustable wires, i would totally get those.
i had a set of 24 strand puresound customs and they were way too out of control. only good for backbeats. took them off, and in the commotion of the community practice room, they got damaged.
was maybe thinking of 16 or 20 strand of puresounds. the fat cat dual adjustable feature seams nice also.

I have a 16 strand set of puresound (whatever the main line of their snares is) on a brass snare. I love the sound the 16 has. It is a very crisp snare sound, but with fewer strands, there is more of the drum sound.

I have never had fat cat or puresound snare wires,so can't really say much but I do have a set of puresound blaster 20 strand snare wires on order, should be here any day now. I'm using a Tama Rockstar steel snare 14x6.5 should sound great.

welp, i got em. put em on.
at first didn't like em but played with the adjustment some and....they aren't too bad. i think they are still too many strands at 24. i think they should be no more than 20. 10 for each adjustable part.
the drum responds better at lower dynamics much like having 2 strainers. kinda cool.

I have a Weckl snare with 2 strainers and wanted the same sound from other drums, so I got a set of the FC Duals. They work as advertised, but I agree that 10 and 10 may have been a better choice. There is a ton of snare sound with the birch drum I have them on.
