Thats what it looks like to me. Some people like the sound it gives when cymbals are stacked on each other. Im not a fan.

If i have them, I like stacking small splashes in with the top hihat. Gives me room to work on the hats, and then i can get a quick accent without changing to a different cymbal.

I hate to lower the whole intelligence of the conversation, but whenever I try to stack a cymbal it just doesn't work. It sounds horrid and they don't go over each other properly, I literally don't understand how to stack cymbals, is there something I'm doing wrong?!
I agree with most of the above; in my humble opinion stacking looks and sounds horrible and at the end of the day you should be able to get all the cymbals you need around the kit anyway.
If you are going through hell...keep going!
