what do you have for mics? it's difficult to get a studio sound with only a few mics.... yeah audacity is a pretty good program for the nice price of free
audacity all the way! im atully wondering that too.. I have a little 2 dollar mic attached to my computer, would a better mic record better?
I'm recording right now and I'm using a Shure SM57 on the bass drum and 3 cardiod mics as overheads. I use Acid Pro 4.0 software to do all the editing and final mixdown.
