    Default Rings for your Drumheads

This came up in another thread. I was curious who all uses the O'rings or Studio rings that sit on top of your toms?

I need to dampen my toms, ive been told these are great, just stick them up against the flesh ring and mount em on, either that or i was told to tape a maxy pad to the underside of the heads XD

I use Evans E-Rings on all my toms. They work great and are'nt as ugly as tape or moongels.

I play my kit wide open, no dampening at all, unless I have a particular tom ringing in a certain room, then I just dampen that tom, usually with a napkin or two from the bar and a little slice of gaffer's tape.
Word to the wise : don't mess with the drummer.

I use the evans rings, in the small room I have my drumkit in it really helps. Just lay them on the heads. When I take the drums out to a larger playing space then you can just pick the rings off and set them aside. No tape residue etc.
