I am Very new to recording and I need help with eq'ing.
If anyone could give me the rundown on which frequenvies to boost, reduce ect. ect.

the main thing I want to reduce with my toms is the odd slappyish sound you get from the stick hitting the head in a small room.
I like deep, resonant toms that have a pitch bend, snappy snares, and a punchy wet bass.

Boy am I the wrong person to answer this. I do it by trial and (mostly) error...

However, that said, it might spur the conversation if you tell us some details how many bands you have on your EQ and if you have any other processing happening. Also, tell us about your mic set up.
