    SHUFFLE-

    1. A popular and common rhythm used in Blues and some Blues style Rock.
    2. A rhythm rarely understood or played correctly by Bass guitar players unfamiliar with Blues. Usually referred to by such Bass players as "thumpin'" or "that ZZ-Top beat".

    WALK-

    1. A simple rhythm consisting of quarter notes, played up the scale and then back down, commonly used by Bass players when they figure out they can't play a SHUFFLE.

    Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!

"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham

Banging on the drums. Given by Parents girlfriends/boyfriends, wives/husbands or others who think we just bang on drums and not actual play them as an instrument. Some times give to new drummers.

Yes drummer. I’ve had to replace many so when looking for parts, that’s what they were called. There may be another name for them but not that I’m aware of.
