Default Double pedal choices, need some input

So I've decided to get another double pedal since my slave pedal broke =[(probably because it's one of those sound percussion ones for 100$). Right now i just use the single pedal since the slave is busted. It's ok, but i wanna upgrade.

I've had a couple of choices in mind (due to price) but i wanted to see what the forum has to say about em!

Tama Iron Cobra Jr.--- What's the difference between the jr vs. the sr?

    and

    Gibraltar Avenger II

I'm a heavy hitter and am wanting one that will hold up to a beating...at least for awhile.

If there are others I'm not aware about in the 100-200 price range please tell me :D.

If anyone has had any experiences with these, please share. Thanks!

Iron Cobras. But try them all. I'd seen a Big Dog double pedal a student of mine brought in, never seen them before, and was quite surprised. So keep an open mind, folks.

You know, you can put the cobra coil in the ICJ and have a pedal nearly identical to the IC
So itchie, how did the kick sound?

I have the Gibraltar Avenger II's and I can attest to their quality. I've had them a little over a year now and they are holding up just fine.

Thanks for the replies everyone! I can always count on this forum lol. Jordinson: So the only difference between the two is the cobra coil?

I'll probably purchase the iron cobra jr....and some new drum heads as well :D

The Iron Cobras are probably the most solid feeling pedals I have played. They felt like they could withstand an elephant playing them.

I go to my local drum shop and purchase my sticks. I like to touch them before I buy them ;-)

Not that you care anymore but I just went through deciding over the same to pedals. Went with the Gibraltar.
