i really like sabians but i also have always loved the alpha and rude series from paiste and with the sounds i've heard, i may be a paiste user now.
what's recommended for a hard rock/metal cymbal package?

why restrict yourself to one brand? just use cymbals that you like and that mix well together

i agree go with what you like or were gonnna end p like sony and microsoft fan bois and gals! i personally like zildjian, but would never call other makes, thats just daft.

Im a sucker for sets :( But i wouldnt stay within one series. But if a brands good enough you should find your sound within that brand.... But definatly mix and match. Its what i want to do for a recording kit for the ultimate sound :>
