I never polish cymbals but finally decided I want to polish up my stainless steel snare. What do people use? Just any metal polish or any danger in that? Any tricks for tight spots? Thanks.

Collinite metal wax. Excellent for all of your hardware as well.

NeverDull is a polish and a cloth too! Actually it's a cotton roll with polish in it. Available at wal-mart and many hardware stores. It can get around tight spots and does work on ANY metal including cymbals. Great on jewelry too!

Automotive products are the way to go. Once it's clean, get some Eagle1 nano wax.

Check with the manufacturer of the drum to see what they recommend. I basicaly use vinegar/water mix this is the safest I find but that's me. Afraid to try anything else in case it ruins my drum.
