Get rid of the sugary snacks, try to stick to light snacks, trail mix, nuts, fruits ect. Drink tons of water and avoid gatoraide and energy drinks.

Thumbs up Re: The Official DRUMATHON thread

HEY WONK! <--Thats a positive local greeting from my town given with a thumbs up.(I bet most of the current residents dont even know what it is,lol!) I think what you guys are doing is great! If that is your "home" for awhile, then I could think of far worse places to be! Potassium (bananas) is good for cramps and drink plenty of water.NR is right, stay away from the other stuff, water is the best.Thats great of the youth band showing support.Rock on!!!

Between songs, take a very quick stretch to muscle through those repetitive motion cramps. More power to you!

At first I felt sorry for jinxin ya,but unless you play every day and for hours,I think cramps are inevitable because your muscles are just not used to it.Use your breaks for standing and reversing your posture and muscles slowly.

I'm confused...are you training all day for the GC Drumathon or having one of your own? Either way, best of luck to you both.

NIM, no it was a charity drumathon at our church.

So...we did it!! 12 hours of drumming, 2 gigs incorporated successfully and a big crowd in to see us to 9pm! It was awesome and has raised lots of money for the building project in Mexico.

Pics to follow. THanks for all your support!
