I need some serious computer lessions. I am no good at linking from site to site.
I cant get the pics to load into my Avatar or anything else for that matter.
I try to enter the pics super long URL into this site but it just keeps telling me invalid or too long.

What do I do ?. Im going innnnnsane!.

Hi, Home.

I'll see if I can help.

If you go to User CP from the menu options across the top of any page you can get to your personal settings. From there look down the left side to find Edit Avatar. Click that link and there you will find a couple of options to change/add an Avatar.

Other than using some of the provided ones, your best safest option is to copy the image to your hard disk. From there, use the option to link an image from your computer. Simply browse to the location of the image you want to use and it will then show up for you in your posts.

I got to the Edid Avatar link here in DC. I have a Photobucket account with pics but I tried to enter the super long URL from Photobucket onto this site and all I keep geting is "Invalid URL" or "URL too long" (mostly "Invalid URL").

Also tried other pics and adjusted their sizes and still get "Invalid URL".

I have tried both http//

and then the rest of the URL but still nothing.

I dont have "MS Word" so I hope thats not the problem.

By the looks of your urls, it looks like you're forgetting the colon after the "http". It should look like this: http://

Anyone know why my "Photobucket" pics wont post?.
I"m pretty sure I'm typing the long URLs in correctly. Ive done it enough times with different picks, re sized...etc. All I get is "Invalid URL"!.
I dont have "Microsoft Word". Is that why ?.
Does my "Drummers Chat" account not allow it ?.
This shouldnt be this hard!.

The image below is using the IMG code, which is how you post pics in threads on DC.

Thanx kaos, but I dont even know how to copy and paste.
I tried the IMG thing and its not helping. Its kinda crazy that you were able to pull the image up but I am having so much trouble.
Maybe if you or someone explain it to me from the beginning like I'm 4 years old that would help. maybe you could also show me exactly what the code should look like.

WOW, How the heck did I do that. I didnt mean for the pic to come up but it did. I just typed the URL in to show you how it read and it actually showed the pic instead.
Pretty cool but if I could only post it on my Avatar I'd be much happier.
