Our orchestra has crappy crash cymbals and they always turn inside out lol, i hate it so much
I was just thinking about something that happened a few years back that you guys might get a kick out of:
I was setting up my drums one night in this club. The stage was about 3 feet off the ground. Well upon testing out hitting the cymbal, the whole stand lost it's balance and fell over. The cymbal came off the stand and landed totally flat. The impact of the fall actually forced the cymbal inside out! I had never seen this before nor did I know it was even possible for it to happen.
Well later I tried to "make" it happen intentionally with an old cymbal of mine. Yup, you can actually reverse the direction of it! Ha!

I really wish that we could actually show the pictures in here...
They gotta be some crappy cymbals! No offence LOL!

Good cymbols can do that. We had a semi decent sabian that someone decided to stand on whilst on concert band tour. We cracked it back the right with with two peoples weight on it. You can see the stress marks where it almost cracked....
