Default Armando Peraza LP fiberglass Bongos

    Hi there drumchat !

    Would you recommend/review these bongos?
How is the overall build and hardware?
Do these skins (LP Accents) sound crisp and high enough (say like fiberskyn III)?
The cost for a 2nd-hand set below is around 120 USD.
    Thanks.

Do not waste your money on that Bongó. First it is too heavy, second those skins will not give the sound you want thus having to spend more money on 2 new skins around $90. The only LP Bongó that come with decent factory skin is the Dandy Rodriguez Model, all others come with paper thin type skins.

Good looking strong shells but tend to slip between your legs & are best used w/ mounting stands. The gold tint will soon look like CRAP. At less $$$ many wood bongos w/ rounded drum sound edges are better than sharp edges Lp's pro line uses. The Asian heads are throw aways...save the skin wires & mount quality cow hides or use plastic if you can accept the way they sound. ( I dont prefer plastic )
