Z Customs... Although, I've heard they are *too* heavy for their own good.

    Just a full, warm tone.

Not so bright and tingy like the z customs.

i have an 14 A custom fast crash, and a sabiban 17 AAX stage crash. i hope to get 16 and 18 K custom dark crashes-they sound REALLY great. K customs actually are better for metal than rudes or Z customs.

even for metal, i really cant stand the sound of any of the 3 you have listed. i never have a problem being heard with A and A customs. paragons are also a good choice. i would take my 22 paragon ride or 19" china to any metal gig. i have noticed that not alot of my fav metal drummers accually use METAL designated cymbals.

I must agree with Funky here, and its true that a lot of big Metal players out there actually don't use these Cymbals too much, they might have one Crash taken from the series but usually you will find that most of their cymbal set ups come from other lines such as A Customs.

I myself am I very outspoken A Custom supporter, as anybody who knows me on these forums will know

I cannot play with my A Customs without ear protection they are so so loud, and usually are the loudest thing in band practise which can actually be a bit annoying at times, lol! You'd never have a problem being heard with them and while they are very bright, they aren't overly bright like these 3 series tend to be.

Then again its all down to personal taste, some people just love the over-the-top nature of these 3!

Ive noticed that nobody really uses the metal line that sabian puts out, AAX metal or AA metal-X, I have yet to see people use these lines religiously.

But I do see everyone using Z customs, Even if its just one, I see a ton of rock drummers using Z customs, And I see a ton of them using them as a main cymbal line (hats, ride, crash, and then a few diffrent crash lines)

But paiste, Well, Their cymbals seem to be designed for hitting, Everyone that Ive seen that uses Paiste, uses damn near a cymbal from every line, Like a signature, inovations, 2002, rude, and reflector kind of thing
