Default Question about Bass Drum Kick Pedals

Hello, I am sorry this might be a noob question, but can I use any Bass drum kick pedal (The thing you step on) for any Roland TD Model drum set's bass pedal.

Are they a standard size, do you change the height of them etc.
    THanks for any input.

Yes, unless the set up is where the kick trigger is an inverted design. Remo makes it's own type of pedals for that, and you might be able to use similar models from other companies like Yamaha or Alesis in that case. If it's not an inverted design, you can choose from any number of kick pedals, because the trigger is on the kick pad, not going to the pedal.

Here's one type, although it might be a little hard to see cause of the background against the shade of the felt. They feed the beater towards the bass drum on the other side of pedal as opposed to being towards the player. It pushes downward until it hits a pad on the reverse side of the footboard. One main complaint for this type of design(roland kd-7) is that you can't clamp it to anything like you can on the kd-120, so they are not exactly the best for fast double bass over long periods of time.

I have a TD4. Ony pedal will work, but Use a plastic beater, felt will wear through the rubber on the kick trigger.
