    Default Stagg Drums?

    Anyone ever heard of Stagg Drums? Some dude is selling a 5 pc kit for $120 on CL. Not that it means anything, but, I've never heard of the brand. For a $120 I might just go for it just for another kit.

    Ah yes, Stagg makes a number of drums, and accessories as they are kind of a versatile brand. They deal mostly with products at the price point of beginning drummers, so not something to keep or trust on the road long term. As far as I know they have 3 different acoustic drum series, some electronic drums, and practice pads. Stagg also sells drumheads, as well as hardware and cymbals. The acoustic lines:

    Student(6 ply basswood shells):

    Hi, I have a Stagg set. Depends on what do you want to do with it. And by that I mean it's ok if you are playing in your basement or so The drums are mostly good for begginers because you really can practice on them but the sound of the snare is terrible Stagg sets have the same quality as Millenium sets IMO.

    Thanks guys. Just wondering. You know, you see a drum kit for $120 and you thnk "what the hell", spend $120 for another kit and see what its like. No risk.

    That's a good price if you are looking for a project kit, or something you can use for parts. Heck, you could turn it into an e-kit with the right gear on it. It would cost a bit less vs buying a formal a/e kit like ddrum or pintech sells.

    They way I play, I probably belong on an entry level kit like Stagg! If I can get those to sound good though, i'd be doing something right. To do so much with so little is a pretty good test of your passion, energy, and skillset.
