    Default Pearl ADP-30 mounting clamp

I wanted to share some pics and a quick review of the Pearl ADP-30 mounting clamp used mostly for offsetting the rack toms off of the bass drum mount.

The clamp is very solid and the UltraGrip Wingnuts grip is strong. Fits 3/8"~1-1/4" diameter stands. Retails for $39.99 USD. I highly reccomend this clamp!

I see what the 2 tom clamp thing is doing, but I only see the ADP-30 black plate in the first photo. Where did it go in the other two? Or is the black thing just packaging?

I have been debating about getting one so I could make my bass drum virgin.

Russ, that is the packaging for the holder.

Oh yeah Late8, those are really good! And even if someone over here can't afford the Pearl one, there's a Dixon 3 way clamp that works in a similar manner.

Looks very nice late, they're almost completely in line with each other except for the furthest right rack tom. Are you adjusting to playing flatter toms easy enough, or is it giving you any troubles?

Yeah, I've flattened the toms out and raised my throne to sit over my kit better. The rack tom futherest to the right (11x14") is the deepest so I matched the height of the 10" and 12" to even out the height of the toms. The reason why it's a bit higher than the others is due to the tight clearance at the bottom. It will hit the bass drum if I'm not careful. The compromise was to lower the 10" and 12" rather than raise them to match the 11x14" since I was barely clearing the tops of the batter hoops without hitting constant rim shots while playing the toms.

I have the same exact tom stand and clamps by pearl and I absolutely LOVE IT!! It was one of the best investments I've made to date. I love the feel of having the bass drum virgin and having the mobility to move the toms wherever I see fit. I will soon be transfering this tom mount to the Pearl ICON 503C rack this weekend when I make my road trip to Atlanta to go pick her up.

I think he means the AX-28 which only mounts one tom.

What's the dif between AX-38 and ADP-30? Look the same to me.
Pearl on-line product description says word-for-word the same thing about each one.

Late, what's the 3" diam. metal tube thingy below your small tom in your outdoor pic?

That's an LP shaker hung with a spare bicycle water bottle holder and the holder is attached to the LP percussion rack with my plastic pocket knife pouch.

Drumbledore thanks man! I've been closely following your pics too and I can tell that you are into matching color schemes too! My slight OCD syndrome won't allow me to mismatch colors or shapes lol. It gets pretty bad....heads have to match, rack tubes need to be round like cymbals and drums, not square...etc. I have a tough time with missing logos on my vintage cymbals. I'm compelled to rub the new logos off completely off so everything would match....... Pretty bad huh?
