Saw these today on ebay. Kind of a red/yellow satin. I had a yellow satin set of Slingerlands once but I've never seen these colors.

That's a TAMA Superstar EFX from 2006. They had a white and turquoise satin available that year too.

Cool finish...I've never seen that on a Superstar kit either.

Yeah same here, they sold a kit in that finish at one of my local drumshops too. Correct me if I'm wrong.....did they also do a kit in white and purple finish? Or am I thinking of another brand?

Very cool, that's what some places call a satin flame wrap. Very nice, but not everyone's cup of tea. I know of one place that used to sell these wraps for free if you bought all other necessary parts for that size drum it's used on. Quite a deal. I think I remember seeing these on Tama's efx superstars, back when the shells were a basswood and birch hybrid.

Chad Smith had a finish very similar to that on one of his Pearl kits:

Chad's kit is special Edition Masterworks cause they do not come in that color or pattern in any other Series by Pearl. That is a Custom made drum just for his specs and colors. Cool

Looks similar to the Salmon Satin Flame Gretsch wrap from the 70's.

The wrap is satin flame. It is a throw back wrap from the 70's. Gretsch and Slingerland had them. I have a Tama Superstar kit in the white satin flame. Wasn't sure if I would like it or not but it looks amazing on stage. John
