New Moon Fest

I read somewhere about a "New Moon Festival" in the Chicago area. Does anybody know about this, and if there is one coming up?

Also, there's supposed to be a 3-10 p.m. drum fest somewhere on the south side on Sunday, July 10. Does anyone know the details?

Welcome to drumchat Hart! Have you checked any sites with info on local events near you to confirm the date of the festival? I couldn't find out exactly what it was, some say it's a baptist or pagan thing and other things say it's a jewish/muslim or chinese new year celebration. Not sure how to help you find out where, nothing came up in my searches. Can't really talk religious related stuff here either though, if that's what it is. I'd check with your local officials, newspaper places, park centers, or city/town hall to find out what they've got planned for events. You're in the right spot though, maybe a local drumchatter might have better information for you. Hope this has helped some.
