black panther snare tuning.

Hi everyone.

Just need a few pointers, my snare is sounding really tinny at the moment, i'm not sure of the wood, i have a evans coated batter and stock reso, i use a drum dial to tune, will loosening the reso get rid of the top end? i want a fat low snare sound not a high tinny one. i already use plenty of moon gel.

Any help.

Try tuning the bottom medium-low and the top medium...that's what I do on my BP and it's got a pretty fat sound.
