Your telling me! Id love a paiste ride but its like 6000kr at the very cheapest.
I am a Paiste freak, however, they are way expensive lol. I'm stuck between a few of these hats that I've heard alot about and are around my affordable price. Help me out please.

it depends on what genre of music you play.
if it's metal than the rudes would be your best bet.

The 2002's are definatly more, hmm, well rounded?
But the Rudes are more along the line of Z customs, meaning they would be a great accent piece, or a great metal/hard rock piece
I would personally go with the 2002 Sound Edge hats out of those. I have the Alpha Sound Edge hats and absolutely love them.

i'm still trying to save up enough to afford an alpha metal splash
Ostinato is the way to go!
Haha, i triple that, im saving up for a cymbal pack
I was thinking about getting the AAX sabain pack, but, i checked out paiste, and i love their sound better then sabain. I want to buy the 201 bronze cymbal pack, what do you guys think of that pack? you think its about the same as the AAX?
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!
No.
probably the closest thing to the AAX's would be either the alpha's or rudes.

He was only asking. There is no need to laugh at him. It really rude and your making yourself look bad.Originally Posted by Ringo

lol.. thanks for the advice.. i think, and the manager of my music store had told me they were equivalent to the AAX, i no nothing about the paiste cymbals.Originally Posted by vinnysimmo
noo, the 201 are way down there, paistes lower line is somewhere around this, from lower to higher
101 brass, 201 bronze, pst 3 brass, pst 5 bronze , alpha then all the higher lines
All Paiste bronze alloy is supposed to sound good all the time because it's their specialty material.

yeah theres no doubt even the lower end stuff is pretty good and thanks Ch33zz for the low to high end paiste cymbals.. been wonderin that for a few days now.
ya my drum teacher has 14'' pst5 hats and they sound pretty good, but anything sounds good next to my economy 13'' cb drums hats
well if the aax hats arent comparable to the 201 bronze, then what paiste hats would you compare them to?Originally Posted by Ch33zz
