Yeah, pataflafla too. A few drummers I know call the paradiddles "Mummy-Daddys/Mumma-Dadda", although personally I don't vocalise rudiments myself.

I don't speak it so much as whisper it in my head the first few times. I don't have any systematic names used for memory like others have learned to have. I will however, say 'left-right..' to whatever the pattern is sometimes, especially if i'm stuck on something. It's almost like using the alphabet song more or less.

poodlesdrum, if it helps you in the beginning, then go ahead. You will have to let it go at some point, though, otherwise the vocalizations will hold you back on speed.
