I've got a Paiste Signature Series Dark Dry ride that has had quite a bit of blues played on it. It sounds great and stays clean, even if you get into it with the shoulder of the stick a little.

I don't mean to sound like a commercial, there are other great cymbals out there, but I really love this one.

K Custom Dry Lite Ride is nice, although sometimes I find that it gets lost live.

My belief is a 20" of any brand that has a good heavy weight to it..I'm not smart enough to convey actual weight in ounces but it just cannot ring out to loud. IMHO

Surely the best Blues Ride is the bluesmobile?

    (Sorry)
You know the very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common:
they don't alter their views to fit the facts, they alter the facts to fit their views,
which can be uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering.

Zildjian A's are always a good choice IMHO, even though my son is using mine right now.

Yeah, I'm the same when it comes to my old Sound Formula 20" Full Ride. Never lets me down. Paiste's are well known for their clean cutting bells.

I use a 20" ZBT ride for much of my playing. However I also have a 22" 70's A that works great for 70's 80's RnB too. The ZBT has a lighter jazz feel, and the A has a great bell and sustain. I had an old Paiste once and loved that thing for doing Clapton tunes!

Is there specified specs for blues genre ? The best ride for blues is the one you choose creating your own personal sound.

I'd say anything 20" in medium weight with a defined bell will just do the trick.

I'd tend to think that a 20" Zildjian K ride would be a good ride for blues - vintage if you can find one.

22" K Custom ride by Zildjian. Very nice, dry, loud ride with a fast decay.

Awful . Just throw some JB weld on your k custom to fix the crack and use that.

    Nice score

I really like the 20" Sabian Pro I'm using. (It's not the B8.)
The Pro seems to stay crisp and clean with a nice bell, and it cuts through. It sounds outstanding on the few recordings we've done so far and getting ready to drop on to our web site.
