I purchased an xs20 a while back and i can not tell you how much i love it.
it has the perfect blend in tones, and cant say if it cuts through at a gig or not though as i have not been in a gig. I purchased it at Guitar Center for about

Actually, its pretty average for something like that on GC used. It's a really good price, and some go for more than that, but I see them pop up from time to time for that price.
Nice buy, and glad you found a sound you like!

I mentioned in an earlier thread I bought a XS20 rock crash at a local pawn for 29.00. It's either a 18 or 20. I love the sound. They had a pair of highhats ( XS20 ) but wanted like 59.00 for those, so with that price and the sound wasn't quite right I passed on the hats. I have heard the AAX studios and am waiting for them. Anyway, I was interested in Trilogy72 remark about whether Lucius had the rock hats or the mediums.
Seems like even though I did not like the sound ( not much of a chick, chick ) I may have passed up on a good price. IF they were rock hats.....would they have been the better of the two choices ?
The XS20 is certainly worth it's weight in brass......but the used price is hard to beat. My mom always said that if they had a sale on manhole covers I would buy some ...even if I didn't need them...just because the price was right ! Now I just do that with snare drums. I hardly ever buy " NEW " anymore...for more reasons than I have room to type.
Most definitely. As a matter of fact, there will be "NO LIMIT"... just an unending quagmire of musical genius.

They really are good cymbals, too bad there's almost no good audio samples on youtube of how they come through. So much different in person- a rather bright cymbal but has a little midrange to balance it out too. Congrats on the new pick up!

I tried one and really like them for the price. I do a lot of shopping before I purchase and have found these fairly inexpensive.
