    Preface.

Forget the drumming. I'm not good at ad-libbing.

Keep in mind I just took it out of the packing box, put it on a stand, took a bunch of pictures and just played it.

I haven't touched or investigated the tuning or the tension of either head.

This is how it came right from TAMA.

Took a listen through some head phones. That snare is sweet. I'm sure it needs some tuning, but amazing still even right out if the box. Cross sticking and rim shots are excellent.

BTW, the Civil War called. They want their cannon back. That kick drum is a monster.

That snare sounds HUGE Bish. No one in the band is going to miss the backbeat when that puppy's being played! It's got a nice projection with just a bit of warmth, just like it should.

    Thanks!!!

I spent some time with it this morning and Oh MY!!!!

Each tension knob on either end has detents so it goes to a position instead of just being unlimited threading. I jacked each side up about one turn and that took out any slop in the snare resonance. It cracks and pops like no other. This is now my GO ANYWHERE snare. It's a keeper and I can highly recommend this snare to anyone searching for the "perfect" snare drum for any occasion.

Thanks for checking it out, Zack. All of my previous experience with metal snares has been they are high pitched and ringy. I'm very pleasantly surprised with the results of this brass snare.

I'm going to try and do another demo for Tuesday night posting.

After I tuned it up tonight, there's no way I'm going to let go of it willingly. I think this snare will go viral on this forum.
