Way to go there Vibes, nice arrival at your place! Look'n good with those flat bottoms stands too. Does the kick come with or need a riser? Looks like fun.

It came with a thick chromed riser.
Fits under the batter side. It's nice. a couple centimeters to thick.
Only problem is some vintage pedals won' fit. no speed king, umm ??
The 16" bass drum sounds really good. This is a nice set.
I am going to play on it like the cadbury gorilla and see if it holds up.
I know it will. This set is like the smaller kid in school who is tough and everyone respects.

At first glance I was wondering why you called it the little Sonor. I thought the bass looked kind of small compared to the snare and then after reading the thread and measurements then it all made sense. Nice little kit

Those bass drum style hoops are a nice touch. It look like a bass drum and not a floor tom turned to its side.

Heck no, you shouldn't let it go!!!! Did you buy them new? Time to at least exchange the floor tom.

I liked my Safari kit so much I figured if they sounded that good what would a better quality Sonor kit sound like!! Never really thought of Sonor before. At 69 years young, purchased the first new kit I’ve ever had!! A Sonor Vintage Black Slate!! Sizes: 20, 10, 12, 14 and 14 x 6.5 snare. Absolutely love and have found my dream kit!!
Probably will try and sell the Safari kit. I also have a Tama Superstar Custom kit also for sale. I my age one good set is all I need!!
