Do you realize your summary is talking about Van Halen? Not sure if that was intended?

Actually Rikki Rockett was DW's first mainstream endorsee.

And the VH thing was a cut and paste error. I should have read over what I pasted so for that

Did Pearl make a custom clear acrylic kit for Tommy Lee? In last years Pearl catalog there's a picture of him playing a clear acrylic kit. It looks pretty cool, I guess he can pretty much get anything he wants.

Could be cause he was a Pearl man then he went to something else and now back to Pearls. His current kit is a Pearl E-Pro live. Most big named drummers move around from one brand to another or whoever pays them the most to endorse their brand.

Tommy Lee definitely carved a name for himself in the rock/hard rock genre and his name is pretty well known but his skills are average, nothing special.

Say what you will about Tommy Lee, but his talent level is leaps and bounds above that of his bandmates. Motley Crue never would have gone anywhere without him.

I know alot of guys don't like him....growing up, I wanted to be just like him.

    He WAS "Rock and Roll".

Were his beats technical or did he "wow" anyone with his precision....no, but he put on one hell of a show and was just flat out cool.

E-pro live are an E-kit. They are wood shells made out of poplar I gather with electonic mesh heads that with real brass cymbals ( or rubber) of your choice. The great thing about this kit is you can exchange the heads to regular ones and it will become an accoustic kit. Pearl had to find someone to endorse their E-kit to promote them and Tommy was picked don't ask me why but they did.

IMO and just IMO, Vince Neal can't sing a lick, Niki Six (or however he spells it) is totally uninspiring, and Mick Mars just OK. This is a band that is the epitome of 80's style over substance.

I agree. And I'm not sure the actual band would disagree with you.
