    Main Style: Funk (New Orleans Influenced)
    Main Band: Galactic
    Brief Summary: Born and raised in New Orleans, Stanton was one of the founding members of the band, Galactic. The band averaged nearly 200 shows a year after their first album, Coolin' Off, came out in 1996. Since then, Stanton has launched several successful solo ventures including a trio with organist Robert Walter and guitarist Wil Bernard. He has also become quite a revered clinician, always finding time to connect with fans between shows.


    Other Facts: Stanton has played on several genre-hopping albums including In The Arms of God by metal band, Corrosion of Conformity and the self-titled album by Street Sweeper Social Club with Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine and MC Boots Riley.

    Very interesting that he's played with Morello, I wouldn't have thought of his style to go as well with him as I imagine he'd go with other funk bands. Quite a versatile player. He also started his own self titled drum company and introduced a signature snare back in 2009 that he made collaboratively with Ronn Dunnett of Dunnett drums.

    Very creative drummer, lots of fun to watch! I've seen him probably 25 times, and got to meet him at a Galactic show in Amsterdam, very nice guy!

    Woo....had no idea he recorded with Corrosion Of Conformity. Then again, being a great player he wouldn't have had any problem nailing it. But that's something new I learned about him.

    Stanton is an awesome drummer. Love his work in Garage a Trois. Had the pleasure of seeing them live in Seattle a little over a year ago.

    Yes! I love Stanton Moore. I attended a clinic/masterclass of his about 5 months ago at Rhythm Traders drum shop in Portland, and man he really knows his stuff.

    I also got the pleasure of seeing him play with Galactic that same night at the Roseland.

    Im missed a clinic he had recently, only maybe 15 -20 miles from me. I was really angry. He's amazing. His work with galactic is awesome.
