Jim Gordan?
I'm not sure if this is the right thread to ask this question but I'm looking for the name of a drummer who, having played on numerous hit records must surely be eligible to be added to the list,
Right here goes;
I was staying in a hotel in Peurto Polensa, Majorca, in June 1997 and got into conversation with a man who told me he was a drummer and was having a week's break from America. He told me his name which I can't remember.
So here is your task,should you choose to accept, I need somebody to remind me of his name from the following information;
He was born in London and was taught by Jim Marshall, moved to America and had played drums with the Everly Brothers for 40 years.
Jim Gordan?
Buddy Harman
I like a few of the ladies....
Vera Figuerado from Brazil
Meytal Cohen from Israel, although she may not be considered "famous" I just enjoy watching her play....
Sheila E from right here in the States.....![]()
Stickadiddle, Couldn't be Jim Gordon-Internet puts him in prison in '83 for murder.
But both those guys had huge careers! Who knew?

Famous Drummers
Mark Brzezicki. He plays drums for Big Country (among others) and has some damn fine skills.
Mapex Armory - Photon Blue
Mapex VXB kit - Transparent Black
Mapex & Pearl snares
Paiste Alpha & RUDE cymbals
Remo & Vater
Damn, I like Big Country for sure. Mike Peters from The Alarm had to step into some big shoes after the late Stuart Adamson (and Tony Butler filling in for a short while), but he does a fine job.
One of my fave albums that Mark B got pulled in as a session drummer is this one. Although he wasn't on the big hit "She Sells Sanctuary"...that was Nigel Preston:

Wondering if anyone knows what happened to the Richie Hayward (Little Feat) thread? Tried to PM a mod but I've not got enough posts.. Thanks for any info!!

What about Manu Katché (Peter Gabriel, Sting, Joni Mitchell, Tracy Chapman...) ?
What about Cozy Cole?
Philly Joe Jones?
I guess this is where we mere Mortals list their favorites? I'm a Mere Mortal for sure as a 71 YO resurrected Recreational at home drummer.
In no particular order:

Buddy Rich
Steve Copeland
Dino Dinelli
Kenny Aronoff
Jeff Porcaro
