Hey Wotto, I have that snare on my kit and I have to say that I really like it. I use it as a side snare and I keep the heads cranked down pretty tight. That thing rolls like buttah! My band plays a few Motown tunes and it really compliments that style of music. Also, it is nice to be able to blast out an unexpected "CRACK" to help accentuate parts of other styles of songs too. I picked mine up for $99 and it was well worth it. I have it mounted on the side of my hi-hat stand with a Tama swivel mount. It holds up great and swivels out of the way when I need to get out from behind the kit.
